We are a Lagos-based design and development studio working with founders and small teams on websites, brand systems, and digital products.
Most projects do not arrive as a tidy list of screens. They arrive as a business goal, a deadline, a few references, and several unanswered questions. We help turn that into a clear plan and a working product.
The name Fourth Gate refers to the point where an idea has to become real. The brief needs structure. The design has to work in a browser. The product has to launch, and someone has to be able to run it afterwards.
The studio is intentionally small. You speak directly with the people making the decisions and doing the work, without layers of account management between the conversation and the build.
The job is not finished when the homepage looks good.
Each project should look and behave like the business behind it, not like a version of our own website. We learn the context first, then choose the visual and technical approach.
We also plan for what happens after launch: responsive checks, deployment setup, content structure, and documentation where the project needs them. A client should not depend on us to keep the lights on.
A visitor should understand the offer and the next step. Visual style supports that job; it does not replace it.
Fast work still needs a clear brief. Agreeing on the limits early keeps the project useful and the timeline believable.
More pages, motion, or features do not automatically improve a product. We add what helps and leave out what does not.
After launch, the code, accounts, content, and notes should make sense to the client or the next developer.
Responsive websites and interfaces in Astro, React, Next.js, or plain HTML and CSS, chosen to suit the job.
User flows, wireframes, interface design, prototypes, and component libraries in Figma.
Marks, type, colour, layout rules, and the core assets a new brand needs to show up consistently.
Reusable components, design tokens, and notes that keep design and code aligned as a product grows.
A first usable version of the product, from scope and interface through development and deployment.
Pitch decks, social assets, presentations, and launch materials that follow the same visual system.
Send us the brief, even if it is still rough. We will tell you whether the project fits and what the next step should be.
